Waters Church is seeking a Worship Intern for a summer internship opportunity to serve alongside our worship ministry across multiple locations. This role is designed for someone who feels called to worship ministry and desires hands-on experience in leading worship, team collaboration, and service preparation within a growing, multi-site church.
The Worship Intern will work closely with the Worship Director and worship teams to assist with Sunday services and weekly preparation, gaining practical ministry and technical experience in a real-world church environment.
Key Responsibilities
Worship Leading
- Actively serving as worship leaders and musicians during Sunday services
- Assist with mid-week rehearsals as scheduled (times may vary by location)
- Participate in events such as First Tuesday, Forge, Flourish, or other needed events
Weekly Preparation
- Participate in worship planning and preparation throughout the week in Planning Center
- Set up tracks and clicks in Ableton for all locations
Spiritual & Ministry Development
- Grow personally in worship leadership, musicianship, and spiritual maturity
- Participate in discipleship, mentorship, and ministry development opportunities
- Foster a Christ-centered, team-focused worship culture
Qualifications
Musical Ability
- Competent vocalist
- Ability to play at least one instrument (guitar or keyboard preferred)
Technical Interest
- Familiarity with Ableton, ProPresenter, and Planning Center is a plus
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies
Calling & Character
- A strong personal faith and a desire to grow in worship ministry
- Teachable spirit with a heart for serving the local church
Communication & Teamwork
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with multiple teams, locations, and leaders
- Flexibility and adaptability in live service environments

Location: Based at Waters Church North Atteboro, MA, with work at other locations in New England as needed.
Internship length: May – August 2026
Compensation: This is a paid summer internship, $1,000 bi-weekly.
