The Visual Media Intern will support Waters Church by assisting the Creative Team in the creation of visual and video content that communicates the message of the Gospel. This internship provides hands-on experience in church media, storytelling, and creative ministry while growing both professionally and spiritually.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality graphics for digital and print media, including sermon series, social media, announcements, and promotional materials.
- Edit and produce engaging video content for services, social platforms, events, and testimonies.
- Collaborate with pastors, ministry leaders, and the marketing/media team to develop content aligned with the church’s vision, values, and brand guidelines.
- Create animations and motion graphics to enhance worship services and online engagement.
- Maintain consistency in visual identity and storytelling across all platforms.
- Ensure all visual and video content is delivered on time and meets excellence and quality standards.
- Capture and communicate life-change stories and ministry moments in a way that glorifies God.
- Stay current with design, video, and social media trends while applying best practices to ministry context.
- Support church events, services, and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Focus in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in graphic design and video editing (ministry or faith-based experience preferred).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design, video editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and/or Final Cut Pro.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
- A heart for ministry, teamwork, and serving the local church.

Work Environment

Location: Based at Waters Church North Atteboro, MA, with work at other locations in New England as needed.
Internship length: May – August 2026
Compensation: This is a paid summer internship, $1,000 bi-weekly.
