As the Church Production Intern, you will help run, build, and support production teams at our New England campuses. You’ll train and support volunteers, help maintain AVL systems, and assist with smooth live production each week. This internship is designed to give hands-on experience in church production, including lighting, audio, video, and content workflows while serving alongside the Creative Team.
Key Responsibilities
Live Production & Weekend Services
- Support Sunday services by assisting with audio, lighting, video, and stage visuals
- Help design and execute dynamic lighting looks, stage visuals, and AVL elements for worship services and special events
- Assist with setup, integration, and expansion of AVL systems as the Woonsocket campus continues development
- Serve in live service roles where needed (camera, graphics, ProPresenter, audio assist, lighting assist, stage support)
Volunteer Team Support
- Help recruit, train, and mentor production volunteers and teams
- Support a healthy, skilled team culture by serving with humility, excellence, and consistency
- Communicate clearly with leaders and volunteers to ensure readiness for services and events
AVL Systems & Technical Support
- Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for AVL and live production equipment
- Help manage and track inventory of AVL gear and technical assets
- Support documentation and organization of systems, workflows, and equipment storage
Video & Content Support
- Partner with in-house ministries by helping produce video and photography content (storytelling videos, commercials, social media, and support content)
- Assist with the video production process from concept to completion (planning, capture, editing, delivery)
- Help manage and maintain camera, video, and related production gear
- Support editing and packaging content for weekend services, events, and online platforms
Qualifications

- Interest in live production and church AVL (audio, lighting, video, broadcast, or a related technical area)

Nice-To-Have
- Experience serving in a church plant, church AVL, or nonprofit environment
- Familiarity with ProPresenter and basic broadcast / camera workflows
- Experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or audio editing software)
- Familiarity with camera systems (Canon, Sony, Blackmagic) and/or still photography experience
- Undergraduate study in Audio/Visual Production, Technical Theatre, Broadcast Production, media/video/film, communications, or a related field

Location: Based at Waters Church North Atteboro, MA, with work at other locations in New England as needed.
Internship length: May – August 2026
Compensation: This is a paid summer internship, $1,000 bi-weekly.
