This Administrative Summer Internship is a hands-on opportunity designed for individuals who are interested in gaining real-world experience in church administration, operations, and ministry support. This role will work closely with the Office Manager to assist with daily administrative functions, weekly church operations, event coordination, and cross-campus support.

This internship is ideal for someone who is highly organized, dependable, eager to learn, and passionate about serving the local church. Interns will gain exposure to the behind-the-scenes systems that support weekend services, ministry teams, and church-wide initiatives while developing practical administrative and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Summer Interns may assist with the following tasks, under the direction and supervision of the Office Manager:

  • Administrative & Office Support
    • Assist with phone, email, and general office communication
    • Help maintain an organized, welcoming office and common spaces
    • Support filing, data entry, and management of administrative records
    • Assist with confidential document handling, as appropriate
  • Weekly Church Operations
    • Support preparation for weekend services and Sunday services
    • Assist with printing, assembling materials, and resource fulfillment
    • Help manage supplies, inventory, and restocking needs
    • Assist with basic workflows related to tithes, dedications, and inventory tracking
  • Event & Ministry Support
    • Assist with church events, seasonal initiatives, and special projects
    • Help coordinate logistics such as supplies, signage, and materials
    • Support Serve Teams and ministry leaders with administrative needs
    • Occasionally assist with errands or deliveries between campuses
  • Cross-Campus & Team Coordination
    • Work alongside staff and volunteers across multiple departments
    • Assist with shared campus tasks and collaborative projects
    • Learn and support church systems such as Planning Center and Monday.com
  • Other duties as assigned, based on church needs and intern learning goals

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or currently enrolled student (college students encouraged to apply)
  • An active and engaged attendee of Waters Church
  • Alignment with and passion for the mission, vision, and values of Waters Church
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • Familiarity with Planning Center, Monday.com, or similar tools is a plus (training provided)
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and moving throughout the building
  • Ability to occasionally travel between campuses or run local errands
  • Reliable transportation preferred

Location: Based at Waters Church North Atteboro, MA, with work at other locations in New England as needed.

Internship length: May – August 2026

Compensation: This is a paid summer internship, $1,000 bi-weekly.
