FAQs

Who can I contact with additional questions?

If you have additional questions, you can reach out via email to info@waterschurch.org

Where is this internship located?

This is a New England-based internship with our offices located in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
You may be asked to rotate among our New England locations based on the role or responsibilities for the week.

How long is the Internship?

This internship is specifically during our summer months. Our internship will typically last from mid-late May to early August.

Will I be on my own?

Each intern is assigned a dedicated staff lead who will play a key role in their day-to-day growth throughout the internship. You’ll collaborate with fellow interns in serving at Waters Sunday services, and other special events and services, while also working on a shared summer project. Your assigned staff mentor will guide and support you every step of the way throughout the summer.

Are there age limits?

We invite any young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 years or older to apply.

Where will I live?

Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing during the internship, as Waters Church does not provide housing. We encourage you to visit our website to explore our New England locations and see whether you live nearby or can find housing in the area, so you can easily travel between locations.

How many hours per week are expected?

Interns typically work 30–35 hours per week. Schedules are created week by week and may vary based on services, events, and ministry needs. Interns can expect to serve during weekdays and on Sundays, with additional rehearsal nights for those involved in worship or production teams.

What does a typical week look like?

Depending on your area of ministry, you will work four or five days during the week, and some evenings as needed. The weekends will involve serving at various locations throughout the summer. Your designated staff lead will work with you to ensure the best use of your time. Applicants must be flexible with their time and ready for the excitement of an internship and the pace of Waters Church.

Is this a paid internship?

Yes, interns are paid on a summer salary basis.

Do I need a personal vehicle?

Yes. All interns would be responsible for getting to and from our New England locations on their own.

Will I get a job at Waters Church after my internship?

Our goal is to build up and invest in the next generation of leaders. There may be opportunities to be considered for a full-time role at the end of the internship. Our heart is that every intern leaves equipped, encouraged, and better prepared to lead wherever God calls them next.

Can I work another job and do this internship?

Because our schedule is flexible and varies week to week, it would be very difficult to balance this internship with another job. We ask that the internship be your primary commitment throughout the summer so you can fully engage in all that God is doing at Waters Church.

Do I need to attend Waters to be in the internship?

Nope! You don’t need to attend Waters Church to apply. However, during the internship, you’ll attend Waters regularly to immerse yourself in its culture and ministry. We welcome anyone passionate about ministry and excited to serve.
